The Berovides family helping to beautify the community with spring flowers and foliage in the front of the community. Many thanks.

We measured the distance from our front gate to the furthest house in our community. The distance is 0.57 mile. Going at the posted 25 mph it takes 1 minute 22 seconds to drive that distance. At 40 mph it takes 51 seconds for a 31 second maximum savings
Is that savings worth the possibility of hitting a child or beloved pet that runs into the street?
Please obey our speed limits.
Clean pole and box and let dry. Use this BLACK SATIN spray paint. Cover number with plastic bag so it doesn’t get damaged. If you follow the directions on the can that's all there is to it.
If you need to replace the mailbox numbers you should be able to look inside your mailbox for the company name and contact information and you can purchase new numbers from them for a nominal fee.
☀️ As Florida experiences heat waves & high temperatures, residents & visitors are encouraged to stay hydrated & cool to avoid heat-related illnesses.

We greatly appreciate the kind donation of the new plants and planters at our front gate.
Thank you Pedro and Blanca Espallat.
One of our neighbors noticed this alligator in one of our ponds. It's over 3 feet long but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a big brother. It also doesn't appear to fear people as it will follow walkers by swimming in the shallows. Please be aware of the potential danger to yourselves or your pets when walking the ponds.
Brian and John installed warning signs around the ponds to remind folks of the potential danger.
One of the things that makes Fontana Estates a wonderful community to live in is the efforts of our volunteers. Collin and Bev took it upon themselves to clean our entire gazebo area. Not only does this keep the property looking terrific but it saves ALL of us money. Take a moment and thank them!
The 9 solar lights were assembled and bolted to the 16 foot aluminum hurricane resistant poles. We saved over $900 by doing the assembly ourselves.
The contractors we retained for the installation poured the footings and erected the poles.
Please let board members know if you’d like to help plant out front or decorate. We do fall plants and then winter along with holiday lights and decorations.
Prior to cleaning.
Just a few of the golf balls found in ponds that are polluting our waters. Saint John’s water authority will not be happy if they see this. Please use and recover floating golf balls if you want the practice.
Before work began. Note that the red/brown staining is caused by the high iron content in the well water
Following cleaning and painting. To prevent iron stain going forward please redirect your sprinkler heads so they don't hit the wall.
One of our community college students took water samples from our Fontana Estates ponds as part of a research project on the amount of phosphates present. Nicole was happy to report that our ponds are phosphate free. Too much phosphate in the water increases the likelihood of algae blooms that produce algal toxins. This can be harmful to human and animal health. Many thanks to Nicole Cornell for conducting this experiment.
Since there were so many questions concerning how to clean stained sidewalks we have moved this section to the HOME page. It shows that anyone can clean their sidewalks without a power washer or the need to hire an outside contractor.
Although this shows the results of using White Ox on the sidewalk, another product called Snow Cap also does the job.
I did my entire sidewalk and lower part of my driveway today . Product used was White Ox rust remover, worked like a Champ. The after pic not completely dry however looks amazing. I bought the product at Ace hardware on SR50 and Avalon. They also gave me a 10% discount since I bought 12 bottles. I bought two bottles to sample. I used 9 bottles for my house and sidewalk area net. If all the neighbors with rust on sidewalk did this it will make a huge difference on your property.
If you see one of these poles in the water, DO NOT TOUCH IT! These were placed by our surveyor and need to stay in place.
