Residents please check your cameras between 6;30 pm and 10:30 pm last night, Sunday, since a home was burglarized on Bellezza Drive. See if any cars came by your home after dark around 8:30 pm til 10:30 pm or if you see anyone walking in the Community. Please let board know if you see anything.
The BOD has arranged a Zoom meeting with Neighborhood Watch Deputy Sheriff Felix Cadevilla Sector II. It will be Thursday, May 25 at 7:30 and all are invited to attend.
Acting Corporal Stanley Murray Orange County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit:
There’s an overwhelming increase in vehicle burglaries in your area due to UNLOCKED vehicle doors. To minimize the chance of becoming a victim, we need to take away the thief’s opportunity by practicing the below preventative safety tips:
1. Remove all valuables left in plain sight from your vehicle to include purses, electronics, shopping bags, garage door openers, tools, drills, currency, generators and firearms etc.
2. Always lock your vehicle doors and light up the outside garage door/drive way with LED lights, this helps deter suspects and can also help identify suspects when photos are capture on surveillance video.
3. If you are using security systems that carry phone app capabilities, utilize the motion alert option if available to acknowledge entry onto your property by movement. Ensure this option has not been muted or silenced from your ability to receive notifications in the late evening / early morning.
To report an emergency please dial 911.
For non-emergency you may dial 407-836-4357.
For crime information sharing please dial 1800-423-TIPS (8477)
Vehicle Burglary Prevention. Friendly reminder from the OCSO Crime Prevention Unit! Please take a moment of time and make sure your vehicles are secured and the alarms are activated. Remove valuables from your vehicle as soon as possible. Place items out of sight and make expensive purchases last. Immediately take them home and remove them from your vehicle. Lastly, remain alert and stay safe! Do not give a criminal an opportunity to take your property.
Fontana Estates breakin update for Sunday, February 26,2023
To answer homeowner’s questions:
The homeowners were not home at the time. No weapons were used. The police responded immediately when called.
No other homes or property were disturbed during this incident. It continues to be an on going investigation.
Please watch the Neighborhood Watch video on our official website under Neighborhood Watch program since the sheriff that covers our community talks about important safety procedures for our community.
We are asking all neighbors who have outside cameras to please check them starting after 11 pm Thursday night until 1:00 am Friday morning. Do you see any cars driving in community or anyone walking that doesn't belong? There was a home break-in on San Rocco that night. They broke through the back sliding glass door. Nothing was stolen and nobody was hurt. They smashed the security cameras and cut the phone and internet lines. Please get back to us after checking all of your cameras asap.
It is important to keep your outside lights on, lock your cars and doorsand turn your security alarms on.
This has not happened before in this community. We will keep community informed as information comes in.

This salesman was walking the neighborhood soliciting for business. Do not let solicitors into your home. They are not allowed in our community and may be there to scope out your home.

This is not our community. However, the East Orlando area has been hit by ever more bold theives lately. They have even been seen in gangs that cruise the street at 3 a.m. checking for unlocked cars. Members will walk the street with their get away car following and will try to alter your camera to escape detection.
When driving the neighborhood we noted that some houses are poorly lit after dark. Simply leaving your house and driveway lights on discourages would-be thieves. The addition of motion activated lights in dark areas or blind spots also improves security.
Overhead garage doors are ridiculously easy to break into. The attached link shows how to easily secure your garage door. If you still need help contact John Vecchitto at lordvec54@gmail.com.
The locks on our sliders aren't always the most secure way to secure the door. The Cal Double Bolt Lock is relatively easy to install, is compatible with our sliders and available from Amazon for under $30. If you still need help contact John Vecchitto at lordvec54@gmail.com.
Toll Brothers installed alarm systems in all the houses here. Unfortunately some residents have not activated their alarm systems. Currently you can get central monitoring for break-ins, smoke and carbon monoxide for less than $45 per month. Even less if you just want security monitoring. Contact John Vecchitto for information on who I use for monitoring. lordvec54@gmail.com
Be aware of strange people or vehicles roaming the neighborhood, especially after dark. If you suspect anything contact the neighborhood watch coordinator at fontanaestates2@gmail.com or the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Your relatives, friends, neighbors and HOA board are some of your greatest assets. If you are going to be away please contact someone to keep an eye on your place and give them your contact information in an emergency.
Getting up to date information on what's happening in the community can be critical. Contacting your HOA board with your email will keep you informed. Contact them here:
Volunteers welcome to help hang up decorations for the holidays in the front of the community. If you can assist on Saturday, November 16th starting at 4:00 p.m. please inform a board member.
Refreshments and festive music will be provided. Families welcome.
